Job Description
BluePeak Consulting is recruiting an experienced Account Officer for our client, a reputable organization in Port Harcourt.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, preparing financial reports, and supporting the company’s overall accounting and compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, ledgers, and general bookkeeping.
Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Process invoices, receipts, payments, and reconcile bank statements.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments.
Assist in budget preparation, cash-flow management, and expense tracking.
Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax regulations and statutory remittances (PAYE, VAT, pensions, etc.).
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
Collaborate with management to improve financial procedures and controls.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as an Account Officer, Accountant, or similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws, financial reporting, and bookkeeping principles.
